How to Create a CLP Label: Augeo & Fragrances of Up to 25%
What is Augeo and what is it used for?
Augeo is a professional, state of the art diffuser base, which helps to provide a long-lasting scent for diffusers. It can be combined with a percentage of fragrance oil anywhere between 10% and 25%.
Suggested Fragrance to Base Ratio:
- 10% -25% Fragrance Oil
- 75% - 90% Augeo
If you need to create a CLP Label for Augeo combined with a fragrance oil of up to 25% the process is quite simple.
All of the relevant information can be found in the Augeo Clean Multi MSDS document; section 2.2 Label Elements which lists all of the data you'll need to include in your label. You can locate the product here.
It should be displayed as follows;
Contains: 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethanol (This data is pulled from section 3.1 - Chemical Name)
Warning: Causes serious eye irritation. Wash hands and other contacted skin thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/ attention.
Once you have this data ready, open the CLP information (25% in a Non-Hazardous Base) for your required fragrance: For this example we've used our 'Pumpkin Spice' fragrance oil.
Important: If the signal word, hazard statements, or precautionary statements for the fragrance oil are the same are the Augeo, you do not need to include them again. However, if they don't appear you will need to add them.
For this particular example, the pictograms are also the same between the fragrance oil and the Augeo. So you will not need to add any additional pictograms to your CLP.
Below we've made the sections in red from the Augeo's CLP data which were not reflected in the fragrance oil's CLP. You can copy all of the information directly from our 25% example CLP available in the documentation for the fragrance oil.

IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Dispose of contents/container to approved disposal site, in accordance with local regulations. Contains: 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethanol, COUMARIN, DELTA-DAMASCONE, DIHYDROEUGENOL, GERANYL ACETATE, HELIOTROPINE, ISOEUGENOL, NERYL ACETATE, TRANS-ANETHOLE. May produce an allergic reaction.
Additional Notes: If a hazard statement or precautionary statement that is listed contradicts or is of a greater value, you may potentially be able to remove parts from the label. However, with CLP labels, there is only a risk in understating the danger so if you're not sure, it's better to simply include all data.
Of course, you will also need to include all of the relevant contact information on the label as normal.
