What you'll need for this project;
- Wax: We recommend Golden Wax 494 Wax Melt Wax.
- Fragrance Oil: We've used Madame for this recipe.
- Liquid Candle Dye: We've used Magenta.
- Glitter: We recommend Sahara Gold chunky glitter.
- 2 Heart Wax Melt Clamshell
* Weighing scale.
* Double boiler.
* 1 heat resistant jug.
* Thermometer.
1. Melt the wax.
Weigh out 180g of wax and melt it completely. Once melted, leave it to cool slightly.
2. Prepare your clamshells.
Open up your clamshells and gently sprinkle your desired amount of glitter into the form.
3. Time to dye.
Add three small drops of dye into the clamshell, one drop in each heart you want there to be colour inside.
4. Add fragrance oil.
Once the wax has cooled below 60°C, add 20g of your fragrance oil and mix thoroughly.
5. Pour your wax.
Pour the wax slowly into the clamshells starting with the hearts and ending with filling the entire clamshell. During this process, the colour will swirl and mix to create the ''Marble'' effect.
6. Play!
Diffuse some of the dye by stirring within the clamshell to create the effect you want. This step is up to you, and depends on the result you'd like to achieve.
7. Cure that baby.
Leave the wax to completely cure overnight and be ready to reveal your beautiful creation in 24 hours!
This DIY wax melt creation is truly simple to make, but the end result is truly stunning. We hope you enjoy making these beautiful wax melts and don't forget to share what you've made on our Social Media.
