Perfumers Alcohol

The professional choice of base for perfumes and room sprays

Perfumers alcohol is a diluent that will dilute your essential / fragrance oil blends and is designed specifically for perfume making and making room/linen sprays, perfect perfume mixer to enhance the longevity of your perfume on your skin.

Key Ingredients in Perfumer’s Alcohol:

1. Ethanol (denatured):

   • Acts as the primary carrier for fragrance oils.
   • Evaporates quickly when warmed by skin, evenly dispersing the fragrance.

2. Isopropyl Myristate:

   • Improves absorption, making the fragrance last longer on the skin.

3. Monopropylene Glycol:

   • Works as a co-solvent, ensuring fragrance oils blend smoothly with the alcohol.
   • Helps control alcohol evaporation, preventing it from flashing off too quickly.

This is a special formulation which can be used by both professionals and hobbyists and allows the simple addition and blending of essential oils and fragrances to produce crystal clear solutions. The blended solutions remain clear and free from cloudiness. Perfumers alcohol can also used in the production of reed diffusers (when mixed with another base - such as DPG - as perfumers alcohol as a base in and of itself will evaporate too quickly).

Suggested Ratios:

• Reed diffusers - 30% fragrance oil, 60-65% DPG, 5-10% Perfumers Alcohol
• Body Mist/Room Spray – 5% fragrance oil
• EDT – 10% fragrance oil
• EDP – 20% fragrance oil

Please refer to the IFRA certificate of the fragrance to ensure the correct ratio is not exceeded. These are our suggestions, we strongly suggest adjusting from here depending on desired strength, as always your own testing is required.

Blend the fragrance oil with the Perfumers Alcohol until clear. Stir solution slowly and thoroughly until solution has cleared. Seal container and allow to stand for 2 to 3 days before using.
